Having a hard time sitting still, constantly interrupt people when their talking, People telling a person they talk too much, daydreaming these is all signs of ADHD. ADHA is another common type of a disorder; to be exact it is a Controversial Disorder. This disorder causes a person difficulty focusing, they get distracted easily and are always anxious or can’t sit still (Trueit 15). ADHD is slit into three separate types Inattentive Type, Hyperactive-Impulsive Type and Combined Type. Inattentive Type is not being able to concentrate on a certain task and having a hard time paying attention to something. They sometimes describe Inattentive type as lazy or being a slacker but in all reality these children are smart they just have to get interested in the subject. Next is Hyperactive-Impulsive Type which is more on the behavior side of the chart, Children with this often have random out busts when they get excited, they also tend to get excited over normal everyday things. They will make noises, fidgeting, talking a lot and walking around. Combined Type is last, this type is a mixture of both Inattentive and Hyperactive-Impulsive type.
There are many different speculations on what causes ADHD. Such as brain damage, problems during birth, food addictions and in some cases even poison. Some cases of ADHD have been linked to poisons like Fetal alcohol syndrome, and exposure to lead-based paint and fumes from leaded gasoline (Truiet 31). They have also linked it to mothers who smoke, did drugs or drank during pregnancy (33). Some doctors call it “brain-Injured child syndrome”. Approximately 17 percent of children have a disorder including ADHD (Schoenstadt 1).
Down syndrome is a little less common then autism (Autism statistics 1). A child with Down Syndrome has 47 chromosomes instead of 46 (Partner 27). One out of every 800 to 1,000 live births will have Down syndrome (27). Done syndrome is the only disorder that you can automatically tell by looking at them that they are not like normal children. The back of their heads are flat and their eyes are more slanted. Their nose is smaller then most kids along with their ears. They also have problems with their heart, but like any other child they can still talk, walk and learn depending on the child and the severity of their down syndrome. The life expectancy for People with this disorder used to be very low; today it is 50 to 60 years old. Teaching strategies for kids with Down syndrome are the same for kids with autism. Except for that Down Syndrome children usually do not pass the intellectual level of a 6 or 8 year old (Teaching a child with Down syndrome 1).
