@gsinghsbad Thanks for the guidance. I was in Berlin several times during the cold war and shortly after the break of the Berlin Wall. I've some plans for the next year. Lived in France when the Wall was taken down. Lots of things happened in Europe after 1989. Now, there are new frontiers in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Iran. We never learn anything.
I was just reading that even tho' the cold war is over, both sides are doing the same thing with their military. russian & american submarines are still sneaking around each other under the sea. I blame us for being in Iraq. Afghanistan, we should have left immediately after realizing that we can't find bin laden. We're using stupid tactics fighting terrorists w/an army! Hasn't worked.
The common man understands the lesson of history but the leaders continue to fight wars that lead to nothing. We could do better without leaders: Hitler, Stalin, etc.
Obama has the idea that things can be accomplished differently, but I'm afraid that the people surrounding him don't share that world view. They think "realistically" meaning they're still in the box. We can do without those so-called movers & shakers.

You're right, it's much easier to talk about change than to do it. Talk is cheap but execution of peace seems to be very expensive...even for Obama.
