A Speech For Forensics.

676 words - 3 pages

Pierre-Joseph Proudhon, a French political writer and socialist was the first person to ever be known as an anarchist. In 1840 he published a book named "What Is Property," this book was strongly opinionated and told the truth about society in the middle of the nineteenth century. Anarchists believe that the highest attainment of humanity is the freedom of the individual to express himself, unhindered by any form of repression or control from without. The belief that all governments rest on violence to control their subjects." In a big portion of the world's eyes, especially the government's, Anarchy is frowned upon and looked down on. It's a philosophy that is surrounded in misconceptions and viewed in an extremely negative way at times. There are two definitions of Anarchy "chaos and destruction" and "a society without government, run by the people." There is probably more B.S. talked about Anarchy than any other political ideal out there today, people see Anarchists as the punks walking around with red "A's" surrounded by a circle on the back of their torn up black jackets, or on their binders that they don't even use. But it is more than that, it's the belief that people can live a moral, well-off life without having to be...
