Rahim Khan asks Amir to fetch Sohrab and bring him to an orphanage run by two Americans. At first Amir refuses, he knows the dangers of Afghanistan now and doesn’t want to risk his life. Later, he realizes that this could be his chance, to overcome the adversity that had been haunting him for years. His nephew was in an orphanage in the Karteh-Seh districts of Kabul, his home town.
