ABORTION IS MURDER

“There are nearly 1.2 million abortions performed in the United States each year” (Operation Rescue, 2014). That was 1.2 million innocent lives that were ended before they even had a chance to begin. Abortion has been legal for decades now, and it is time to put a stop to all the murdering of unborn children. This senseless killing of an unborn child needs to be recognized for what it truly is, and that is legalized murder. Abortions should be made illegal in the United States because it is taking the life of an innocent person, there are other options out there and lastly abortions are not only harming the unborn child but also cause harm to the mother.
Abortions ...view middle of the document...

For example, there are condoms, the pill, the depo shot and there is even an implant a woman can get to help prevent pregnancy. It’s that simple, if one does not wish to have a baby, then he or she should use proper birth control, instead using abortion as a means of birth control.
The poor unborn baby never asked to be created, the parents who created it should be forced to either take care of their own baby or at least give the baby a chance at life. There are many three main options a pregnant woman should consider over abortion and they are: to parent the child, give it up for adoption or interim foster care. The first option out there is to simply parent the child. Parenting the child is the hardest out of the three options, but if the parents are capable of taking care of the infant, they should keep the child. But if for some reason the parents are not capable of caring for the child there are still more options.
The second option out there is adoption. “Approximately 120,000 children are adopted in the United States each year” (Facts for Families, 2011). Adoption is the best option for the baby if the parents are for some reason unable to take care of it, or just simply do not want a child. This option gives the child a chance to live and have a normally happy life. Many children who got adopted grow up in normal stable, homes with parents who love them as their own. Adoption is the more stable choice out of the three main options , when a child is adopted he or she will have one home and is not moved around from place to place like in foster care. The child will also have a family, and may have contact with the birth parents if are in an open adoption. Not only does adoption give the child a chance it also gives the thousands of people out there who cannot for some medical reason have a child of their own a chance at having a baby. It’s terrible to realize how many innocent babies are being aborted rather than going to a loving home , why end a life when one can make the babies and someone else’s life so much better.
The third option is interim foster care, which is “Foster care for children who are expected to return to their family of origin within one year” (Birthmothers, 2013). If the parents’ chose this option, it would give them more time to figure out what they want to. This is a safe choice for both the birth mother and the baby. Interim foster care makes sure the baby will have a safe place to live and the mother and father will not have to make a hasty decision on whether to parent or to give the child up for adoption (Birthmothers, 2013).
Another reason why abortions should be made illegal in the United States is because not only does the abortion, end the pregnancy by killing the unborn child, it also can cause...
