Objectives of Stores Procedure
1. To ensure that all materials, parts, components etc. used on aircraft are to the correct specification, both individually and as a system.

Shelf life items must be used in strict rotation.
Maintenance organization should have adequate filing and recording system to record all incomings and outgoings parts and materials.
Importance of Stores
These stores have become part of the aviation industry to set components and materials within the good quality standards by monitoring the shelf life of items being received and take prescription of appropriate action before reaching the expiration limits.
