I am going to be writing today about a topic no one really focuses on. My topic is Animal Testing no one ever focuses on the animals being used. They mainly focus on the results they intend to get.We do not often get to see what happens to the animals being used through the experiments . No one really knows what happens behind those laboratory doors. We can only imagine the scientist trying to get their results not knowing that the animals are suffering throughout the whole entire process. I am stating that we should stop animal testing. Everybody has their own opinions people with pets would probably agree with me and do understand .Then there’s the people who do have pets or do not like animals in period and to agree on animal testing. But what I am trying to acknowledge is that not all great life changing experiments have been involved in testing them on animals and yet they have been very successful. Yes, they have set up laws to protect the animals rights in the labs ,but yet its not being followed.
According to the animal port website it says that over 2,000,000 animals were being used fro testing that was just in the 2000 .Can you imagine by how much that number has increased drastically. No one ever knows how many animals were being used because most of the time the animals are not registered in the lab. Since the people conducting the lab just care about getting the results they want ,and often “forget” to register the animals. In which since the animals are not registered it makes their data research false claims ,because not all animals being used are being listed.
In 1966 the Animal Welfare act was sign in which it says that “all animals in research to get treatment”.I believe that they as in the people conducting the experiments are not following this act . In the website PETA which stands for People for Ethical Treatment for Animals there is a video in the video the people in the labs are mistreating the animals .Not only are the animals having test being done ,but also a lady is shown getting a cat out of the kennel and smushing the cat with the door. Through out the video there many harsh and cruel things happening to these animal.Another thing happening in the video would be forcing a tube inside the monkeys nose a.You cam tell that the tube bothered the monkey because you can see the monkey trying to move ,but the person is steady forcing the tube inside the monkeys nose.I would say that the people conducting the experiment would be breaking the animal welfare act.
Secondly the ending results of the experiments harm the animals....
