Cell phones are a major contribution to today’s society. They can be used for various things. Each individual uses a cell phone for different reasons. Cell phones make it easier to communicate and keep in contact with family, friends, or business associates through reception by calling, texting, or sending emails. People also use cell phones to help them keep their agenda organized, take pictures, record videos, download apps, research, and online banking. Although cell phones revolutionized communication and made it accessible, they have negative effects towards you. Cell phones are bad for living organisms, human behavior, and the environment.

The demand for cell phones has increased drastically and has an indescribable threat to life on earth. Cell phones give off radiofrequency which is a form of electromagnet radiation. There are two types of electromagnet radiation, non-ionizing and ionizing. Non-ionizing radiation based on examinations is not the same for ionized radiation. Studies show that there is no stable proof that non-ionizing radiation can increase the risk of cancer. Radiation therapy, exposure to ionizing radiation, is known to increase the risk of cancer. Researches show that tumors may form on the side of the brain where the cell phone is mostly held. Cell phones also affect young children. Children under the age of 10 are very vulnerable to these radiations and may experience much more severe outcomes if exposed to it. Cell phones also require towers built for reception. Cell phone towers emit electromagnetic radiation that is so powerful it affects the biological system of animals, insects, and even humans. A study was conducted by Bombay Natural History Society and results were these cell phone towers play major roles for the decline of birds and bees. Without birds and bees many plants would not survive. They both pollinate and help plants because they depend on each other. If birds and bees did not exist many species of plants would not survive. Although, they do exist but their species are declining due to these cell phone towers.
