School uniforms are a great help to students in many ways. Uniforms help to prevent bullying and harassment, save money for parents, and kids won’t have to worry if what they are wearing follows the dress code.
School uniforms have recently become more popular in modern times because it help children focus on their schoolwork without the distraction of whether or not their clothes are cool enough. Kids want to fit in with the popular crowd, and by having “cool” and “in-style” clothing, they feel more validation from their peers. Meanwhile, their grades start falling because they are too worried on whether or not they are wearing the right outfit. By having uniforms, children don’t have to worry about having the best clothes. Every morning they don’t have to spend twenty minutes trying to get dressed. They already know exactly what they are going to wear. Kids have less of problem fitting in with other students while wearing uniforms because everybody look the same. Lots of people will argue that uniforms will stop kids from be creative and original with what they wear. They will say that uniforms will hold kids back from expressing themselves. That is a reasonable argument, but school is not the place to be creative! It is a place to focus and to learn. Children have enough stress as it is, trying to get good grades. They don’t need added stress by their peers. By using uniforms, students have one less distraction from their studies.
With required uniforms, students don’t have to go out of their way to buy clothes for school. They know exactly what they need for school and where to get it. They don’t have to waste time in the mornings getting ready for school, searching for the “perfect outfit”. Parents will be able to not have to spend their hard-earned money on another pair of boots that their daughter doesn’t need. Students should only need a shirt, a pair of shorts or pants, shoes and socks. This saves money for the parent and in turn, helps the child stay focused on school....
