Tablets are effective tools used to improve user’s productivity and online experience, whether they are used for business or life in general. Tablets are smaller than a laptop and larger than a Smartphone, so they are perfect to take on the go. Users can browse the internet, create presentations, stay connected with their boss, download games, watch movies, share photos and much more with their tablets. Just recently tablets have become very popular. Therefore, there are over 47.5 million tablets sold in the United States today. On the other hand, Amazon only has 8GB. Depending on individual needs, users will have to decide how much capacity they will require.
Next, I examined the screen size, screen resolution, and size. Depending on what people are using the tablet for, may decide on which tablet to buy. The iPad is grander in general. The screen size is 9.7in. and has a screen resolution of 2,048 by 1,536. Overall, the entire tablet is 9.50 x 7.31 x .37 inches. The Kindle though, has a screen size of 7 in. and has a screen resolution of 1,024 by 600. The entire tablet is only 7.5 x 4.7 x .45 inches. Though, deciding which is better by size is up to the users. If users are looking for a bigger screen to be able to type papers and see documents, then the iPad would best fit their needs. Though, if users are just looking for a tablet to play with, then the Kindle would be better for them. When deciding which to pick, it will have to be decided if the users want something that is bulky and noticeable or something that it is small and more unseen. For me, the iPad is superior with its larger screen because then I can see my work and my text better.
Lastly, I assessed the prices of the two tablets. The price for the iPad ranges from $499-699 if users only have Wi-Fi. The iPad with 4G LTE cost anything from $629 to $829.
