Beyoncé once said “I am really proud that I am one of the artists that has the opportunity to be on magazine covers and to be in the movies.” (She is one of the few artists to venture out and pursue other dreams. Beyoncé has been in countless movies, on magazine covers, and has hundreds of hit songs. She is a triple threat. From growing up in a dysfunctional family, to singing in a group and having a very successful solo career, Beyoncé Knowles is a very talented woman.

Each of these songs sold more than 8 million copies. They also won Grammys for their songs “Survivor” and “Say my Name”. In 2000, Destiny's child announced some of the members will leave. 2 of the former group members filed a lawsuit against the other girls. Destiny's Child then turns into 3. Their son “Independent Woman part 1” spent 11 weeks as number 1 on the charts. This song also became the Charles’s Angels theme song. The following year, they won a Grammy for the song “Say my Name” (Beyoncé Knowles). The same year, they decided they wanted to branch off and have their own careers. Once they ventured off and were apart for a while, they realized it wasn't right. They got back together in 2006 and made another album. This album was called “Destiny Fulfilled” (Watchmojo). They sold 497,000 copies of this album in one week (Beyoncé Knowles)! That just goes to show how big their fan base is. This was their last and final album. In March of 2006, a gold star was placed on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, in their name. After this, they went on with their solo careers.
Out of all the members of Destiny's Child, Beyoncé is by far the most successful in her solo career. Her first solo album was “Dangerously in Love”. This album was in the top charts for a while and sold 317,000 copies in the first week. Her song “Crazy in Love” was number 1 on the charts for 8 weeks. This song also won an award for Best Choreography, Best R&B video, and Best Female Video. This just proved to everyone she can work alone and be just as successful. Beyoncé became the new face of Pepsi, taking Britney Spears' spot. In 2002 she was awarded ASCAP's Pop Songwriter of the year. She was the first black woman to receive this award (Beyoncé Knowles). She decided she wanted to add acting to her resume. Her first acting debut was on MTV's Hip Hopera (Beyoncé Knowles Bio). Foxxy Cleopatra was her next role, in Austin Power's movie Goldmember. In 2003 Beyoncé sang at the MTV music awards. She sang with Jay-Z, and they sang “Crazy in Love”. The following year at the Grammys, she took home 5 Grammys.
