Bilingual Education
Bilingualism is a subject that has triggered trillion of debates worldwide. There are those who argue that no specific period of time that is designated to learn a certain language. They stress that anybody can learn a new language at whatever age. Others do argue that using bilinguals is prepositioning the child on a wrong footing on how to learn the first language and the second language. Whether this people have a point or not is the major point of writing this paper.

Basically bilingual education is needed because as long as they are learning a new language, they need also to better their own native language. For this reason you find teachers use their native language to explain points in class even if it is an English class. This helps the child grow in two different platforms concurrently i.e. on the first language and on the second language.
Another reason as to why bilingual is important for the young children is that, every young child is in the business of learning new things. These things would be very hard to understand them if they are taught during old age. This is because the affinity to understand new complex things at an older age is always challenging. Nevertheless, for the child the mind is still very fresh and this makes them to understand quickly what they are being taught. This includes both the first and second language. Thus, chances of confusion are very minimal in the learning process and as the teacher uses the native language to explain some emerging issues on the second language, the children get a double benefit of learning the two languages concurrently. Thus, teaching a young child bilingual education doubles fold benefits and easier than when you are doing it for the adults.
To expound on this, just look at the ideologies enshrined on dual language kind of bilingual education. You find that, every effort is aimed at ensuring that the child gets to learn the second language without necessarily having to forget the first language. A balance is always maintained for both the first and second language. None is more emphasized than the other because learning both languages is a priority for the development of children. However, everybody has been born into a certain culture that originally speaks the first language and thus compared to second language development, a lot need to be done for the second language to develop and this includes teaching all the subjects using this very second language. The benefit of this comes in the sense that as the children are being taught the subjects using the foreign language; the teacher uses the first language at those instances which the children do not understand clearly. This not only teaches the children how to be efficient on both writing and speaking the two languages under consideration, but also goes beyond into accentuating the children’s brains. Even reaches agree to this that those children who are exposed to dual language kind of training are smart all round than those who burdened on only one language. This is a unique benefit that surfaces as a by the way because as the children get the new codes of the new language they are learning, they fully engage their minds into processing those codes. This aspect intensifies their brain working capacity thus making it grow. This not only ads to their cognitive skill capabilities but also helps them to be very analytical on doing other things and have an inner developed visual capabilities....
