1. INTRODUCTION


1.1 Definition and Description

A beauty therapist is the main term for makeup artist/ nail technician/ hair colorist and many other different jobs that are beauty related. Beauty therapists can work in many different places such as: store cosmetic counters, salons/spas, photography studios, television and film.

1.2 Aims

This report is to inform people about what a beauty therapist is what they do. This report will be discussing the definition and description on being a beauty therapist and the history about it. Also looking at what you would be getting paid, summary on what you would be doing and what you can get out of life being a beauty therapist.

2. DISCUSSION

2.1 History

The things we do in these generations are nothing compared to what women did for beauty back in the day. For example, to remove unwanted hair from the 14th through the middle of the 17th centuries, women used quicklime...aka that stuff that gangs use to dissolve bodies! It's hard to believe, but being pale has been all the rage throughout history - until this century. And women did everything they could to make their skin a lovely white shade, the things they did too make themselves pale you wouldn’t think would be very appetizing this included eating chalk, drinking iodine and using leeches to suck the blood out of their faces. And to make that hue luminous, they might have used mercury to give their faces a shine, or a tint of vinegar and lead, called ceruse foundation.
