Every subject that can ever talked about has two sides one that agrees with what is said and the opposition side, and opposite side of this argument believe that there may be other influences that creates a bad behavior. One of the reasons that support this is the way a child is raised and brought up to shape how a child sees and reacts to the world. It is also been observe that a child that is not punish and left to do whatever he/she wants without any authority to tell them how to act. A disfunctional family is also a hot topic to discuss and defend cartoons as children raised in a bad family seems to see the world as a cruel and hateful place that shows no sign of caring for anyone. Child also does what he/she sees from others so cartoons alone don’t just cause a child to think or act in a bad way or cause trouble to anything. While the arguments against cartoons causing violence are ones that have been well thought out it needs to be noted that throughout a child’s life they watch television at least enough for it to have an influence and most likely take advantage of what is going on in the young one’s life.
Research from universities professors can back up what they say with experiments that were safe for children and actually got results that supported and proven their points on the matter. There were a few experiments that had accurate results such as the experiment that put violent cartoon and nonviolent cartoons against each other to see which ones increase violence in behavior. Two groups of children were needed in order for this experiment work correctly and get accurate results; one group was to watch violent cartoons and the other to watch nonviolent cartoons. As the test went on they were watched and studied for some time as it was needed to prove there points and the results did favor them as they studied the behavior in the groups and saw that violent cartoons do cause some increase in aggressive behavior. Nonviolent cartoons had no increase of what so ever and because of that it shows that not all cartoons have violent to entertain children.
A cartoon have also been said and even proven to have hidden messages in them known as subliminal messaging and is describe by American Heritage Dictionary, “Below the threshold of conscious perception; inadequate to produce conscious awareness are slipping in message but able to evoke a response” ((C.J.Choma, Stevie Hosster, Rober Lue, Divia Nelson, Shawnte Ray, Ben Wilcox, Brandon Ybarra, and Dr.Louisa,2004)). The point of these messages are to basically get us to act on what we have either seen or heard, but doing such things are looked down on by people to were the FCC fine and may take away the broadcasting stations license. The station that do so have the law on their side though because there is no law against these messages so not all station get caught like the back in the 1950’s when it was overturned ((C.J.Choma, Stevie Hosster, Rober Lue, Divia Nelson,...
