Their biggest strength is that they started from the bottom up and still continue with this concept. They always consider the customers wants and needs in the ski resorts. (Mountain activities, local accommodations, village concession, entertainment venues, airlines and ground transportation).One big problem started a weakness started in October of 1998. An Ecoterrorist group firebombed the mountain premier restaurant and 4 ski lifts and the main headquartersVail Ski Resorts 3Adam Aron offered for the first time a set of 5 policy guidelines to divide the firm's strategic-action agenda. These guidelines sought to retain and buttress the firm's historical domain.Over the year the original structure provide well for the previously firm. By 2000, their reorganization was almost complete. Containing a mix of structural forms including Functional hierarchy a product-line division and a partial matrix. Two structured components were put in place. Each resort was given separate production authority by a division COO. Each resort has a marketing manager. He reports through a partial matrix to the division COO and to the Vice President of marketing at the corporate level.I would recommend that they over a period of time change the employees productivity and look for professional expertise that will work together to keep a well balance business. This would allow the two groups to have an open communication and be able to relate easily with each other.
