We are living in a clean world; eating and drinking whatever we want, swimming in
the lakes, seas and breathing fresh air. Haven’t you felt disturbed while reading the
phrase of ‘’fresh air’’ or ‘’eat whatever you want’’? If not, I must say that you probably
haven’t lived in a world that is not full of cars, factories not built everywhere and no
hesitate to eat vegetables thanks to not thinking how they are grown. People keep doing
harmful things not only for themselves but also for the nature and accordingly for the
world. Global warming is becoming the most serious issue of nowadays, as the effects
of it have started to be seen for a few years. There are many reasons causing to global ...view middle of the document...
The first effect is, greenhouse effect. As climate scientist Roy W.
Spencer states, ’’ there are two common meanings of the term "greenhouse effect".
There is a "natural" greenhouse effect that keeps the Earth's climate warm and
habitable. There is also the "man-made" greenhouse effect, which is the enhancement
of Earth's natural greenhouse effect by the addition of greenhouse gases from the
burning of fossil fuels (mainly petroleum, coal, and natural gas).’’ The accelerated
greenhouse effect unfortunately can’t be dealt with by carbon cycle. As a result of that,
earth gets heater than the necessary limits and causes melting in poles, sea level
increasing and thousands of deaths resulting from thirsty. We shouldn’t regard the
effects of artificial greenhouse harmful just for humanity it also causes animals that
lives in poles to endanger.
The second effect is massive crop failures. Shortage of water supplies seems to be
the most frightening effect of global warming. If there is no water, there will be nothing
that we can consume to be alive and because of our selfish consumer attitudes, African
