An argument has circulated throughout schools since smart-phones were introduced: whether or not cell phones should be used during the school day. Cell phones should be utilized in the classroom because students can access the internet, can use cell phones as a calculator, and can be one of the best learning tools on the today’s market.

If schools become stricter with their enforcing of the cell phone ban, more and more technology would have to be bought by the student and her family and the school the student attends, leading to more financial issues for both.
The last reason why cell phones should no longer be banned in school is that the modern smart phone is one of the best if not the best learning tool on today’s market. The cell phone is already in the pockets of most students as well. The cell phone has almost limitless capabilities at its disposal, and all it takes to access those capabilities is a quick tap of a screen and a minute or two for the download. More and more teachers are realizing this, too.
