Managing Change Paper Part IIThere is a difference when it comes to a leader and a follower. A leader sees the direction that a group or organization needs to go in as to where a follower needs to be given the direction where to go. Envisioning possibilities for the future is what differentiates a leader and a follower; most people know this because everyone was a follower at some point. When people start a new job they begin as followers looking for a sense of direction, until some emerge as leaders. Identification and communication are the basic but most important functions that a successful leader can perform. When delivering a shared vision, a business leader must present it in a clear and effective manner. The shared vision helps define the values of an organization and guides all employees' behavior as well as their efficiency.The importance of a shared vision helps all employees understand the goals of an organization. A shared vision could also help motivate employees, promote work and a competitive drive. A good shared vision would identify the organizations purpose and direction. The vision of the organization would set standards that are persuasive, yet credible. Without a shared vision within an organization, employees would not be encouraged to work or be productive. The employees must know that the organization is moving in a positive direction along with all of its employees. The reminder of the organization's existence and purpose can serve as an employee's motivation. With a successful vision employees can rally around their leaders. Organization culture is an important factor when introducing any shared values.Having a distinct hold of an industry market would be an ideal position for the majority of entrepreneurs. In reality after a the 1890 banning of monopolies inaugurated by The United States Government, allowed an opportunity for competing companies to also partake in market share (Beattie, 2014). For this reason several companies readjust created new appeal by creating new company cultures within the organization. The induction of new cultures has the benefiting factor of gaining support in a financial market, by creating constructive publicity for a company's image. As a tool cultivating enjoyable company cultures draw appeal to many individuals whom seek professions that promote collective engagement. In many professions, the installment of creating incentive days within the work environment can have some positive engagement. In some industries employers will sanction casual Fridays, or luncheons to demonstrate their appreciation for their employees. These incentives are developed to redirect positive energy in many times stressful environments.
