A healthier lifestyle leads to a better quality of life with fewer health problems, such as cancer, and diabetes, along with a whole list of other conditions, resulting in a longer life ( a healthy balanced diet contains five major food groups. Not one particular food can provide all the significant nutrients needed for good overall health and well-being. The amount of food you need to eat from each group can vary depending on your age, sex, and level of physical activity ( The five major food groups are: Grains, Fruit, Vegetables, Meat, and Dairy. It is best to choose fresh, organic fruits and vegetables, and lean meats and fish that are free of hormones, and antibiotics. If you follow the guidelines recommended and eat a balanced diet with healthy choices from all of the food groups and eliminate processed foods, and sugar, you will look and feel great, and you will also be able to participate in more physical activities such as running, biking, hiking, and swimming.Exercise is very important to general health and will also help you by burning fat and building muscle that will result in weight loss and energy, which will improve your physical health, as well as boost your confidence and your self-esteem.
