Kava is a culturally diverse island in the South Pacific. 50% of Kava’s population is indigenous, while the remaining amount of population is split up between the: Americans, French, Africans, and Spanish. Kava also has a variety of resources including: bananas, cocoa, coffee, spices, and petroleum. However, 50% of the population is age 15 or younger. That doesn’t make for a large workforce. Kava is also plagued with disaster threats such as: tidal waves and tsunamis, typhoons and hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, fires, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, HIV and AIDS, petroleum spills, a high risk of the avian flu, and terrorism both inside and out of the country.

Kava’s resources are a critical part of the sustainability of the world. A. O. Smith WPC will be able to find out how to help Kava by analyzing the organizational and environmental issues that face Kava. A. O. Smith WPC must also analyze how the organizational and environmental issues have an impact on key stakeholders.
Organizational Issues Facing A. O. Smith Water Products Corporation
Kava’s staff includes: Alex the Director of Strategic Planning and receptionist, and Nik (myself) the new strategic business planner. As A. O. Smith WPC figures out methods of helping Kava, they have to decide who they can get to staff to complete their goal. Decidely, a new receptionist should be hired so that Alex can focus on the duties of the Director of Strategic Planning.
O. Smith WPC decides to choose local people of Kava to staff their production. This kind of opportunity for the community will help build a lasting relationship with the community. A. O. Smith WPC would like to train local Kava people right away. This gives A. O. Smith an advantage of getting a perspective on how things are done in Kava. The corporation has a chance to rub elbows with the people who operate the community. A. O.
