The Climate Change Department was established by the Ministry of Water, Land, Environment and Climate Change in 2012. A committee was established to advise the Minister as well as a Climate Change: Policy Framework aimed at promoting understanding/cooperation and oneness on the issues.

Lastly the Men make the difference and are more suitable/ accepted based on their wealth of experience.
For example in departments such as the Meteorological Service of Jamaica (MET Office), Climate Change Department (CCD), Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) and National Environmental Planning Agency (NEPA); such is the case.
