The Cyrano de Bergerac as a book and Roxanne as a movie, both have the same or similarity plot. The plot is for Cyrano to help Roxanne and Christian fall in love with each other. Although Cyrano love Roxanne but pretending to be Christian. He feels that he is ugly because of his huge nose and can never get her to love him.
The changes made were from the start of the movie, instead of Auditorium Theater. The movie adaptation started from Charlie Bales home. He was on the phone and later came out wearing Fire Department Chief Uniform and singing.
Many characters in the book are not included in the movie. This includes Comte, De Guiche, Ragueneau, Le Bert, Liniere, and some others. The character Dixie is included in the movie but not in the book; Dixie is both Charlie Bale and Roxanne best friend who owns a restaurant.
