Converse Accident
Fallacies are abundant in our society today as social media allows many people to voice whatever thoughts come to their mind. Converse accident is one of the fallacies that are committed every day by people. Converse accident is the fallacy of  drawing a general or broad conclusion off of one or several instances. It uses a small sample size to create a broad and irrational statement. Converse accident can also be referred to as hasty generalizations because a general or broad statement can be based on insufficient evidence or limited examples. There have been countless times in history where converse accident has been used, one notorious user was Adolf Hitler. He would generalize Jews and other ethnic races as “inferior” and he would make these types of claims in his speeches and a book. Converse accident causes irrational false statements about a topic based on miniscule evidence and examples.

By using converse accident, he could rally up enough people to storm a public meeting featuring Bavarian prime minister Gustav Kahr at a large beer hall in Munich. Hitler announced that the national revolution had begun and declared the formation of a new government.
However, after a short struggle that led to several deaths, the beer hall putsch failed. Hitler was arrested and tried for high treason and sentenced to nine months in prison. It would be his time prison where he would write his famous patriotic book Mein Kampf, which translates to My Struggle. He continues to bash Jews and other ethnic races and in chapter ten of his book he states, “I believe I am acting in accordance with the will of the almighty creator: by defending myself against the jew, I am fighting for the work of the lord and true german citizens” (Hitler Chapter 10). He generalizes all Jews as evil and that he is justified to fight them because that is what god wants him to do. From its release in 1924 to 1939 it sold more than five million copies...
