Baptist Church
According to www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki “the Baptist church is headed by the Pastor and Deacon. Baptist are Christians who comprise of a group of denominations and churches. They subscribe to a doctrine that Baptism should be done by complete immersion. Other tenets of Baptist churches include; soul competency (liberty), salvation through fait alone, scripture alone as the rule of faith is practiced”.
Catholic Church
According to www.en.wikipedia.org/wiki “the catholic church is the largest Christian church with 1.2 billion members. The catholic hierarchy includes Cardinals and Bishops. The church maintains that the doctrine on faith and morals that it presents as definitive is infallible. The Catholic Church is Trinitarian and defines its mission as spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, administering the sacraments and exercising charity.
Throughout my investigation I interviewed the heads of two different denominations. I ask both of the same five questions, some of their answers were similar while others were very different. The first question I asked was “what are your views on marriage?” Rev. Dr. Ismael Williams stated that “marriage is a sacred bond between two people that are in love”. Rev. Paschal Ukpeh leader of the Catholic Church said that “marriage is a covenant where one man and one woman construct between themselves a life together”. I agree with both leaders marriage is a bond between people that love each other.
My second question was “what is your view on teenage pregnancy?” the leader of the Catholic Church did not disapprove of it but said “sexual intercourse belongs in committed and thriving relationships”.
