When I am considering that I want to demonstrate something about Deaf culture and I want to introduce the interview with two Deaf people. I would wonder if there are possibly common or variety about real life in the world. Two Deaf people name Daniel Ilaire and Devyn Johnson who are willing to join me for the interview impressively. They would like to explain to me about those experiences and opinions.
Before the interview, I want to tell you that Deaf culture empathizes various opinion and different orientation to hearing people. They can learn about it effectively. Basically, I got Daniel and Devyn's permission to appointment for the interview. I went to my room. I got my paper and pen with the notebook for interviewing with Daniel and Devyn throughout the questions. At the night, we were ready for our interviews thought on "videophone." I was certain that most of people would say, "videophone?" they never hear about it and what it is. Videophone established The Sorenson Video Relay Service (SVRS) company provided Deaf people who could communicate through on videophone with hearing people for the interpreter, order to the food for the delivery, call the emergency, and more... it wanted to make the equality of human rights respectfully.
First of all, I noticed Daniel seemed to be drunk. I asked him if he would think I was a stranger and I am strictly force him to answer my question but he didn't think I am stranger, he was glad to answer my question. He had high tolerate, he could control by himself while he was drunk. That was a good thing I could interview with him. Anyways, he sat on the chair in the living room with his family. He was staring seriously with his eyes seemingly opened and wide to shine. This should be comfortable and not serious unexpectedly. I wanted to communicate with him to enjoy the interview, but he was still drunk. I thought it is little funny to me. Next to Devyn, he seemed exciting for the interview with me. He was in his room, and his room was very neat. I warned him that I brought the camera for him through on videophone, because I was very exhausted, I could not catch what Devyn said after Daniel's first interview. The camera could help me a lot easily for understanding Devyn's conversation. Somehow, Devyn seemed anxious and uncomfortable. He asked me that if he have to use his formal clothes because he thought that I would show my classes, but that was not true. I informed him that he should be relaxed and he could chat with me. I wanted him to answer my whole questions, that was it.
During the interview, "Where are you going to school?" I asked to Daniel and Devyn. Daniel answered, "I went to Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing which was kindergarten to middle school. I was attended at Boston Arts Academy for high school only. I went to Gallaudet University and graduated in May 2012. I am preparing to be Graduate student at Boston University.” I turned to Devyn, and he answered, "I went to...
