Of course, morality has been the foundation againstalmost every argument ever made since the beginning of time. It is said that such questions can only be hotly debated, and that there will never be an answer as to whether such acts should or should not be performed.Surprisingly, opinions are an important matter in abortion cases. Abortion has to be one of the most inhumane acts the human race could ever commit, and we need to put a stop to it.The Center for Disease Control estimates that 78% of all abortions performed in the year 1992 were on unmarried women. Obviously, the women were not taking measures to prevent pregnancy, so why should they be allowed to kill the child they are carrying? Most people don't know thatonly a small minority of abortions were for medical reasons (meaning the woman, the child, or both could die if she tries to actually have the baby). The abortion rate is actually highest for teenage girls under 15 and women over40. Teenagers are more likely to have sex without the use of contraceptives, therefore increasing greatly the risk of getting pregnant. Women over 40 tend to experience health problems and pregnancy difficulties, and are often toldby doctors that it would be best not to have the baby. But nobody said anybody actually had to keep the baby. Sure, having a baby is lots of responsibility, but no one is under obligation to keep their child--at least, notlegally.Some women that have abortions for personal reasons other than their health actually claim to be religious.
