The managers can save time and energy by delegating work to the employees. Managers and supervisors’ time are best utilized in planning, organizing, leading and controlling. One uses planning by establishing/setting objectives for the employees to carry out. One uses organizing by coordinating the resources, but giving employees the authority to use them as needed to achieve goals. One uses leading by stimulating employees to be high performers by giving them more responsibility. One uses controlling by following up on the delegated assignment and making changes, if necessary, to ensure goals are met. Managers must be able to communicate with the employees to ensure the desired outcome is understood, and have the faith or trust in his/her employee to get the job done.In order for delegation to be effective, time management plays an important role. Time management includes tools or techniques for planning and scheduling time, usually with the aim of increase for effectiveness of corporate time use.
