Perintah melakukan sesuatu meliputi wasilahnyaSesuatu perkara wajib yang tidak sempurna melainkan dengan,ia(wasilahnya)juga menjadi wajib. Oleh itu , ia ada kaitan dengan kaedah sesuatu suruhan yang membawa maksud haram maka wasilah atau factor-faktornya juga haram . Begitu juga sesuatu yang membawa maksud wajib maka wasilahnya juga wajib .Rasulullah s.a.w bersabda :"Sesiapa berwuduk seperti wudukku ini lalu mendirikan solat dua rakaat,yang pada solatnya dia tidak bebicara pada dirinya sendiri (iaitu mendirikan dengan khusyuk) nescaya Allah swt akan memberikan ampunan kepada-Nya atas dosa-dosanya yang lalu." -(Hadis riwayat Imam al-Bukhari).Dalil pensyariatannya adalah sebagaimana firman Allah S.W.T. dalam surah al-Ma'idah (5) ayat 6:يَاأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا إِذَا قُمْتُمْ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ فَاغْسِلُوا وُجُوهَكُمْ وَأَيْدِيَكُمْ إِلَى الْمَرَافِقِ وَامْسَحُوا بِرُءُوسِكُمْ وَأَرْجُلَكُمْ إِلَى الْكَعْبَيْنِ …Maksudnya :"Wahai orang-orang yang beriman, apabila kamu hendak mengerjakan sembahyang (padahal kamu berhadas kecil), maka (berwuduklah) iaitu basuhkanlah muka kamu, dan kedua belah tangan kamu meliputi siku, dan sapulah sebahagian dari kepala kamu, dan basuhlah kedua-dua belah kaki kamu meliputi buku lali..."Menurut Ibn Kathir, ayat ini adalah suatu perintah supaya melakukan wuduk ketika ingin menunaikan solat.
