Discover Engineering: Aeronautical Engineering
Engineer combines the field of science and math to solve real world problems to make it a better place (Google Definition). Engineering is a diverse field of work there are many disciplines within engineering that can involve the application of a very different body of knowledge and skills (2012 Project Lead The Way, Inc. IED Activity 1.5Discover Engineering-page1). There are a lot of disciplines within engineering, naming all is too much, the most common engineer discipline are civil, chemical, electrical, and mechanical engineering.
The Engineering Profession
Those four disciplines are all great careers to follow. According to ...view middle of the document...
Aeronautic engineers is an exciting career to pursue, the pay is great and you get to work with many amazing machines and people.
Not after the 20th century, no human being has ever flown a powered aircraft. Airplanes at first wouldn't be able to carry very much passenger like they do today and can even fly around the world. Furthermore, aeronautical is an extension of mechanical engineering, both mechanical engineering and aeronautical would work with technology and machines to do their work if its designing or building their process is quite similar.
The Grand Challenge
All engineers know that there would always be a design process because it's just part of being an engineer to design and be creative. During the design process a lot of brain power is being used for thinking of an idea and different design to come up with. Advance personal learning, one of the grand challenges can relate to Aeronautical because Aeronautics are problem solvers, create new technology and even develop practice from theory. The challenge of advance personal learning, is learning knowledge with very little guidance. Self learning is hard since you have to be motivated also driven with the little help of others.
About the Author
I am a 9th grade engineering student at STEM Academy, out of all the fields of engineering I choose Aeronautics to be my discipline. Aeronautics is a field that revolves around air crafts such as a plane, jet, or anything to do with being above ground. This type of engineering interested me, so I chose Aeronautical as my discipline. There are numerous wonderful school out there that provide an aeronautic program The San Bernardino valley college has an avionic program which include aeronautic, the amount of study in San Bernardino is about four years to learn about aeronautics. According to “Engineering” by Richard A. McDavid and Susan Echaore, an aeronautical engineer the median amount of money you would earn is about $70,000 while the lowest you can earn is $50,000. In this career the highest amount of money you can earn is about $130,000 per year.
There may be different types of engineering disciplines out there, but one thing all engineers have in common. Teamwork because in any discipline it seems to apply...
