According to Google define engineering is the branch of science and technology concerned with the design, building, and use of engines, machines, and structures.A Naval Architectural Engineer is much like a structural engineer which I looked into first the both have very similar but very different jobs. Short and simple Naval Architectural Engineering involves working with the ocean and not land. They work on stuff like Passenger/Vehicle Ferries, Warships - Frigates, Destroyers, Aircraft Carriers, Amphibious Ships, etc, Submarines and underwater vehicles, Offshore Drilling Platforms, Semi Submersibles, FPSOs. This is an engineering profession ,but it is not one of the four major ...view middle of the document...
My Engineering Profession
Naval Architectural Engineering Believe it or not the closest school to California is The University of New Orleans. Plus a Naval Architectural Engineering can only get payed $98000 max. in the state of Los angels, CA. when a structural Engineer can $109000 with universities much closer in the state of California. plus the number of jobs taken by naval architectural engineers in the year of 2012 was only 7300. although naval architectural engineers work on the basic design of the ship they do not work on the systems in other words the engine or propellers. That’s when marina engineers come into play. Even though naval architectural engineers work only basically on the basic design we still have many challenges.
The Grand Challenge
There are 5 important qualities you must master to become a naval architectural engineer or an marine engineer. Communication skills, ingenuity, interpersonal, math skills, and problem solving skills. The most difficult part of the 5 qualities to master for me would without a doubt be communication because i have a really hard time trying to explain things to people and often i confuse them. if you know me you know I couldn't explain an answer to a problem yet alone an entire design for a ship.
About the Author
I chose to do my essay on naval architectural engineering because i like ships and i like the water. I know that might sound a little childish but its true. a building is a building no one admires it but a ship on the other hand is like a car....
