Dos spent her day doing the same thing she did every day, the same thing she has done for years on end. She holds the boundaries. Most days, the job was boring, the same old thing, but someone had to be in charge, and someone had to be responsible. Never did anyone know when things could get turned around.
Watching, she took note of which orbs were still being persistent. She followed the same path she did every day, many times a day. The path worn down, leaving nothing left for her to kick.
All though she was going on a two hundred years down here, Dos was still considered a lowly holder demon. The boundaries seemed like such an odd name, the place simply consisted of cells, there was no end of the road, and there wasn’t a chance to go past her. Occasionally Dos would attain a free spirit, those were the Humans that didn’t belong anywhere. The ones that spent all their mortal life, keeping themselves out of certain paths and yet still a Soul Catcher found and bounded them all the same.
With the same thing to do every day, she could not help if she dreamed of doing something different in the Underworld. Perhaps a Kosteriosian Demon, she loved causing accidents and Zerius sure knows she’s capable of producing them, there were only a few of those around, older than dirt, never has Dos had a chance to meet one. Most other demon’s had talents, like Decipher Demons, but the ability to read minds was top priority and that sure as hell wouldn’t happen on her watch.
Chuckling, Dos checked another empty cell, making sure the pulse still worked, even though most of the demons had their own powers, the place around her still had trigger points for the cells.
As for Holder Demons go, Dos sure made a name for herself. Most learned not to cross paths with her and the ones stupid enough to do so, well it always gave more work for Zerius. Zerius however, did not actually like the new work and Dos found herself on the not so happy list a few too many times, well almost every month but her winning personality kept her alive.
Zerius was a different, interesting and all together fascinating. The same story floated around and although different versions were repeated, it all came down to the same. Dos’ favorite began with love. Although probably far from the true love she wonders about. Zerius, mortal name unknown, was never supposed to be in the Underworld, he was destined for the Heavens, but he made nice with the wrong girl in the Upper Worlds and a greater power than he sent him down the Underworld. He found his way to the High Power, in hopes that he can prove to her that he is the greatest power and she did him justice. Dos just thinks he wants her to want him again, to love him again.
Dos found herself down there about two centuries after Zerius took power, and he felt pity for her. Allowed her a chance to become a demon when no one else in their right mind would allow it. Her random choice to become demon caused so many questions and when no...
