You’re in a world full of no traffic signs, no steering wheel, no seatbelt, and even no other cars on the road; it may seem like a mere example of heaven and laziness, but no. You’re just drunk. Drunk driving gives you a feeling of invincibility and strength to do whatever you feel like. But in reality, you’re even more prone to being severely injured or dying.
The brain is a sensitive organ that is used to send signals to the whole body. In an article “Alcohol Alert: Drinking and Driving”, It states, “Driving involves multiple tasks” (1). So as people drink, the brain is being diminished of the ability to send signals to other parts of the body. This causes a bad multitasking ability that everyone can do while they are sober. People may think they can multitask while drunk, but they can’t because they’re drunk.
Driving under the influence of alcohol is a serious offense and people can get in big trouble for it if they are caught, especially if they have multiple offenses. Nobody wants to be in trouble for something they can easily avoid. People don’t believe they’ll get in trouble at the moment but end up being caught and thrown in jail. Many people are in the drunk tank every day and they really deserve it.
Driving under the influence of alcohol is a major cause of fatal car accidents. It is actually said to be one of the main causes of death in the world. There needs to be stricter laws and more educators teaching and forcing people to stop driving under the influence and making sure that everyone on the road is safe from harm. It would be great to see zero arrests and zero drunk driving accidents in the world. No one knows when that will ever happen.
Drinking and driving is a major cause of death in the world. In a January 1996 article “Alcohol Alert: Drinking and Driving ” from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse & Alcoholism, they state that “Almost 7,800 persons ages 16 through 20 were drivers in fatal motor vehicle crashes. Twenty-three percent of these drivers, for whom drinking any quantity of alcohol is illegal, had BAC’s of .01 percent or higher, compared with 26 percent of drivers age 21 and older” (1). As you can see, a legal age for alcohol consumption doesn’t affect kids and what they do with the alcohol that they get. Students will even drive while intoxicated. They are killed in almost as many drunk driving accidents as adults of legal age.
There are many ways to keep people from dying from drunk driving. The number one way to prevent drunk driving is not drinking. Alcohol prohibition would cause there to be zero drunk drivers on the road unless they purchased or made it illegally. Drunk driving would be cut down dramatically if alcohol was banned. Alcohol is already dangerous by itself; why would anyone want to drink and drive?
Many alcoholics develop a tolerance to how much alcohol they can have before they are drunk. This allows drivers to be able to drive normal when they are highly intoxicated, but when...
