His first book published was called “Tamerlane and Other Poems.” There was no good reactions of the people when he published his book, but there was also no bad reactions either. Also, his story “The masque of the red death,” is believed to be influenced by his wife's first signs of tuberculosis. I, as well as many others, think that the majority of his stories and poems are talking about his personal life or events that went on in his personal life. Although no one truly knows the meaning behind his work, it is still a big possibility.
