Introduction:Aileen Wuornos a hitchhiking hooker convicted for seven first degree murders. [Insert YouTube video]For the next ?-? minutes we will be discussing Aileen Wuornos. Time being limited we will focus on three areas of her life: 1st Her Childhood,2nd her adulthood, and 3rd A retrospective.Childhood:Aileen was born on February 29, 1956 in Rochester Michigan. She had a year older brother Keith, Aileen's mother Diane Wuornos had the children at the age of 15 when she married their father, Leo Pittman. Two months before Aileen's birth, Diane and Leo filed for divorce. Aileen never had the chance to meet her father because he was in prison when she was born for the rape of a 7 year old girl and attempt of murder. Her father was a schizophrenic man convicted for sex crimes against children. He later hung himself in prison in 1969. When Aileen was three she was abandoned by her mother and given to her biological grandparents Lauri and Britta. Diane claimed that Aileen and Keith were crying unhappy babies. Lauri and Britta Wuornos legally adopted Aileen and Keith as their own children , they never told them that they were their grandparents until Aileen found out at the age of 12. When Aileen was in Jr. High she multiple problems in school, at the age of 11 she was sexually active in exchange for cigarettes, drugs and food. While in school Aileen had an IQ of 81 which was a dull low normal range, she was only 10 away from being classified as being mentally retarded. Having a terrible childhood as she did, Aileen claimed to have had sexual activities with her brother Keith as well as she said that her grandfather Lauri sexually abused her. She says that Lauri would force her to strip from her clothes then beat her. Aileen's grandmother wasn't much support since she was an alcoholic. At the age of 14 Aileen became pregnant by her grandfather's friend. She gave birth to a baby boy in a Unwed home for mother's and put her son up for adoption. A few months after her baby was born Aileen decided to drop out of school. Soon after, Britta died from Liver failure. Lauri threatened to kill Aileen and Keith if they didn't get out of his house. At the age of 15 Aileen was kicked out of her home . She then became a prostitute to try and support herself forcing her to become and adult at an earlier age.That takes us to the section two, her adulthood.In 1974 Aileen got a DUI in Colorado, she ,had a disorderly conduct but was charged when she failed to appear. In 1976 Aileen hitchhiked her way to Florida where she met a rich 69 year old Lewis Gratz Fell the Yacht club president. Lewis immediately fell in love with Aileen and they quickly got married that same year. When they got married it was announced on newspapers and society pages. Even though Wuornos was a married woman she still involved herself in criminal activities and was sent to jail for assault in a local bar. Lewis was embarrassed with Aileen's behavior and annulled their wedding after 9 weeks,...
