Which is your favorite artwork and why?
Of all the paintings Munch created, I am most fond of Munch’s “The Scream” not because it was and is one of his most famous painting, but simply because when I looked at it, it was able to deliver a wide range of emotions to me. After looking at the painting, I was able to sympathize for him.
Explain one fact or characteristic of Munch that you find most fascinating.
What I found most fascinating about Munch was his reluctance to give up even though he had gone through so many misfortunate events. Munch, as a teenager, had every reason to give up and hate life every day, but instead devoted himself to art and expressed himself through it. One thing that also stirred up my curiosity was the way he painted. How Munch incorporated melancholy themes into his art pieces and blended it with the colors he chose was amazing.
