a. Is composed of a magnet. The magnet has a core of ceramic and is wrapped to lots of turns of copper wire. They are placed in the guitar’s pick guard.
b. The guitar pickups function when the magnet attract the steel strings of the guitar and when these vibrate they convert to moving magnets and this transfer in a current that passes through a coil wire. Then it passes from the wire to the amplifier that then release the sound
c. The knobs are composed by a capacitor and a potentiometer. This potentiometer it’s used for the volume when it alters the electrical resistance in the circuit and it turns the knob. The signal frequencies in the potentiometer are always the same while the capacitor that has an ac that varies form the frequency and the capacitance. This is put in the potentiometer and is in charge of frequency of the sound and the change in amplitude and this is because of the change on the resistance of the potentiometer.
d. It doesn’t need it because the thing that generates sound is to the string movement and this creates an electric current in the pickups and this signal that passes through the current pass also through the tone and volume circuits. This then goes to the output jack and later to the amplifier that release the sound.
e. The cathode is the electric conductor of the guitar. It increases the electrical signal from the guitar when it is heated in the vacuum that is created in a glass tube. Then this power creates electrons that pass from the cathode through the vacuum.
f. The speaker within the guitar amplifier work because the electric current that travels to the voice coil changes it direction and this change generates a reverse in the polar orientation. Then this change the magnetic forces that are between the magnet and the voice coil. Then this makes the coil and diaphragm to move very fast. This movement pushes and pulls the cone of the speaker and creates a vibration that then creates sound. The components are a magnet, a electromagnet, a diaphragm and a voice coil.
