Employability Skills Development Plan
The position I would like to apply for is accountant. The skills I need to become an accountant are as following; numerical skills , good communication Skills, Team Player, good interpersonal Skills, Problem Solving, Commitment and Motivation, Time Management, and Business Awareness. From these skills I already contain most of the skills as seen in the section above (Assessing and developing employability skills). However the skills I need to develop are business awareness as I have not been reading business news articles in order to keep in track with the business world.
Another skill I need to improve is communication skills.
On the 22nd January 2014, I attended a seminar hosted by Ian Harwood who is the global macro economist in the City of London called “An increasingly bright global economic outlook”. In the seminar Ian Harwood was talking about how the economy is trying to recovery from the worse downturn since world war, what he hopes will happen in the coming years in the economy and if we could recovery from the recession.
