The study reviews the issues of ethics faced by IT industry in the onslaught of rapidly evolving technology,
This report also explores the impact of legislation and other steps taken by stake holders to manage the ethics in the sector.

INTRODUCTION:
Information Technology (IT) has revolutionised the business concepts and models. It provides businesses with new and better approach to stay competitive in the marketplace.
This rapid adaptation of IT and increased use of information systems, virtual environment, software, internet, ecommerce etc. has created serious ethical challenges for businesses. Degree of dependency of organizations on IT has inflated possibilities of unethical practices and increased concern over ethical decision making.
This makes it important for industry leaders to understand the ethics of the industry, moral judgement and decision making tactics which help them plan and evaluate their approaches properly towards ethical conduct in corporate environment and develop techniques to avoid ethical misconducts and their adverse effects on organizations’ performance.
This study explores the major ethical issues faced by the IT sector, role of stakeholders’ in influencing the organizational culture and behaviour, factors responsible for driving business ethics and how business ethics has helped companies.
