Examples Of Animal Cruelty Essay

Every day in the United States animals are beaten, neglected, or forced to struggle for survival. Animals are left behind without anybody to care for these poor animals; they’re left with no food or water and left with no hope of survival. Some animals get lucky and get rescued giving them the chance to be loved again from others and showing them that they are people out there that do care; but in some cases some animals aren’t as lucky. Some are killed, or some die because of their unsanitary conditions every day. Animals do not deserve this kind of life style were they are abused and neglected they should feel safe and love and for this reason is why people should stop animal cruelty. Animal cruelty makes animals suffer when hurt; cause owners to abandoned there animals and left homeless and also causes some animals to be put into dangerous situations.

For several years animals have been abused and neglected for unreasonable purposes. The human society of the United States believes that “People with emotional problems may beat, shoot, or stab animals or set them on fire”(Animal abuse and neglect). From this point of view I believe that those who abuse animals are more likely to be violent towards others especially their families. Other then that animals all over the United States are abuse by “intentional abuse which occurs when a person purposely cause physical harm, injuries or the death of an animal”(ASPCA). Intentional abuse has been the cause of million of animals deaths and investigations and is a serious problem. Next would be neglect, which is an important one because it’s when an owner fails to “provide food, water, adequate shelter and appropriate veterinary care for their pet”(ASPCA). Having animals is a big responsibility that need specific needs for example, love, shelter, a sanitary environment where they have space to play and feel safe. In the United States there are “forty-seven place that have animals cruelty laws that treats some forms of abuse as felonies” and there are some that do not have these types of laws, which are Idaho, North and South Dakota (Animal abuse and Neglect). Every state has laws prohibiting animal cruelty and if people start deporting any kind of abuse can help an animal out and can catch those who abuse animals and can be charge as a felony. Several animal programs like ASPCA and Human Society, want to stop animal cruelty and it’s places like these that help the world become a better place and help prevent things like animal cruelty.
“The awful and suffering forced upon the innocent, helpless, faithful animals race form the blackest chapter in the whole world” (Edward Freeman). Abusing and neglecting animals can cause them to suffer and feel pain, and even though people might not believe in such thing animals do have emotions. Animals are like human, and even though they might...
