Choosing a career is something a person should really consider. It is one of the most important decisions a person has to make since it will influence the rest of your life. As of junior year of high school, I found myself struggling to make up my mind on which career I should pursue. Nursing is my first choice. However, while years went by, I discovered that I enjoy cooking and dreamed that I could be a famous chef and be able to go around the world to expand my knowledge of food. After hearing countless good reviews and experiencing the good service and outstanding food of Per Se, I am courageously applying for the position Executive Chef, in order to share my knowledge, characteristics, skills and talents.
I positively believe that I have the qualifications to be considered as the top candidate for this position. Because I enjoy cooking and wants to be a chef, it has also been my dream to be able to go around the world and learn different kinds of cuisines. And as for me, food is my ticket to go from one end of the world to the other end by means of cooking. Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, I learned perfectly how to prepare Mediterranean dishes, especially the famous shawarma and kababs. As well as being raised as a true Filipina, I was first taught how to serve Filipino dishes, especially their famous pansit, lumpia, and adobo. And migrating to California broadened my knowledge of food by preparing outstanding burgers, steaks and meat roasts. Moreover, I also learned from my generous friends from different parts of the world how to prepare various recipes such as the tamales, tacos, burritos, sushi, teriyaki chicken, Korean chicken, Korean bolgogi, Hawaiian chicken katsu, Irish breakfast, hummus, assorted desserts, and much more. Nevertheless, I am eager to expand my knowledge of other cuisines and cultures especially European cuisines and customs. Having traveled some places around the world and having a diverse group of friends and observing different cultures, I am very willing to step up the next level and offer you my service.
Because food is a necessity, it is a common ground to bring a vast majority of people together. And for chefs, food is their masterpiece of art.
