My interest in business all started when I was in Grade 8. Before, I always wanted to become a doctor but in grade 8, my teacher introduced me to a show called "Dragons Den." This show is about 5 business investors who invest their own money in new and innovative entrepreneurial ideas. When I first watched the show, I loved it because it was entertaining to watch the investors fight over certain ideas. I then started to become a bit more interested in business and I decided to take Grade 10 Introduction to Business in Grade 9. I absolutely loved the course because I found it to be extremely easy but at the same time interesting. Obviously since I enjoyed learning business so much, I generally scored the highest marks in all my business classes and even won competitions and scholarships related to Business. Schulich School of Business is definitely the perfect place for me to study because it coincides with my personal and professional goals. The reason why Schulich is the perfect place for me is because of their unique clubs, competitions, extra-curricular activities and their Exchange Aboard program.

This is a competition for all business students in Grade 9-12 where one has to create a business plan and present it a panel of judges who are entrepreneurs, bankers, etc. I got first place in this competition and earned $1000 and it was the first time that a Grade 9 student took first place in the five years they ran the competition. Schulich also has many business competitions that it offers to its undergraduate students and this influenced my decision to pursue my business education at Schulich. Due to my personal interest in business competitions, Schulich would be a perfect fit for me because they hold many business competitions every year run by the Undergraduate Business Council. In...
