The reasons behind cheating are that students feel both overworked and overextended; and lack of self-confidence. Although, cheating is an all-too common occurrence it has many consequences which one must consider.

An obvious reason to why students cheat is because they feel overworked and overextended.

Tests contain tons of information to memorize and study

The inadequate time to accomplish student's studies.

Lack of confidence is another factor which can trigger students to cheat. A. If a student has failed a certain subject, then he/she would fear of failing it again. B. When a student doesn't study very well and feels that he/she is going to do poorly. C. Students become apprehensive by comparing his/her information with someone else's.

The effects of academic dishonesty can be quite severe.

Cheating in class is not a good way to endear oneself to a teacher.
