Nazis then lied to the Jews, telling them that they would be transferred somewhere else, with their families. The Jews willingly took this offer since they were told they could stay with their families. Instead of staying with their families, the Jews were shipped to concentration camps, usually being split up from their family. Nazis would decide to liquidate a ghetto by sending all members of this ghetto to a camp. Concentration camps were used as work camps, which held Jews, Gypsies, criminals, homosexuals, mentally and physically disabled, and Polish people. At these camps, prisoners were forced into labor work, and were treated very poorly.
