The United States needs to bring drunk drivers to jail, whether it is there first time or not.
Most drunk drivers get convicted of drinking and driving millions of times and still continue to drink and drive. Not only are they risking their lives when they drink while intoxicated, but they are also risking others. A lot of people will say,”just one time won’t harm anyone.” They might also say, “ It’s not like I do it all the time.” What they don’t know is that just one time can kill. Putting drunk drivers in jail will take them off the road. If they learn the first time then the world will be a better place. If they drink and drive again they should have harsher punishment.

Driving and seeing double can cause cars to either swerve away from vehicles or towards them causing an accident. that is why it is illegal to drink and drive. Alcohol can also cause someone to get tired or pass out. If you are driving and you pass out you are more then likely to cause an accident.
