One of the most exciting places to go visit while in Jordan is the Petra. The Petra is the best tourist attraction in Jordan and it is valued there enormously. The Petra is giant red mountains carved into sheer rock and turned into a beautiful city. It is said that people settled there about 2,000 years ago (Jordan Tourism Board, 2013). To enter into the Petra you first have to go through a gorge that is about one kilometer. Next to that on each side are 80m high cliffs soaring right beneath you. It was carved in the early 1st century and they call it “a rose-red city half as old as time” (Jordan Tourism Board, 2013). As you continue moving forward (Jordan Tourism Board, 2013)
and walking around to explore the Petra you will come to see all its natural beauty and beautiful architecture. There they have rock cut tombs with unique and amazing carvings that will blow your mind. The tombs were made to last and 500 remain at this point now (Jordan Tourism Board, 2013).

The kings job is to execute the laws and also sign them, but if (Lynch, Jordan's cabinet shuffle) both houses of parliament oppose the kings power, it can be overridden by 2/3rds of their votes (Michigan State University, 1994-2014). The king is also supposed to say when to fight or declare war, he can also sign amendments, and command arm forces into battle when said so (Michigan State University, 1994-2014).
