Goals Essay

800 words - 4 pages

Do you have goals you to want to accomplish this summer? Goals can help one’s life by, knowing what you want to achieve, or become in life. Without any goals, you probably won’t do the things you wish of doing or achieve what you want to be when you’re older. “If you really want to be successful in life, you have to plan out goals” is what my teachers and parents have always told me. Joining the Timbers Soccer Academy team, getting a job, and graduating high school are my main goals I want to accomplish this summer.
I started playing soccer when I was five years old and I deeply fell in love with it. Whenever I watched a soccer game on T.V, I would always wish that someday I could make it to play on a professional soccer team. Now that I’m seventeen years old, I have more chances to improve my skills and could finally tryout for the Timbers Soccer Academy team which is one of my goals this summer. The only way for me to get better is to keep practicing and this summer I will keep going until I reach my full potential. By making this goal come true, I would have to join a soccer club in the summer, so that coaches can train me really well and push me until they see that I have improved. Soccer clubs are really expensive, but it is well worth to join if I want to become the player I want to be. Also, I will practice on my own to make this possible and try my hardest.
My second goal is to get a job as soon as possible. I want to be able to make my own money and be responsible instead of always asking my parents for money. When I was the only child in my family, I’d get anything that I would want. From shoes, toys, clothes, electronics, and anything new that came out my parents would buy it for me. Now that I’m seventeen years old and have two siblings, they get everything they want, and I barely get anything anymore. That’s why I need a job. The jobs that I’m interested to work at are either Subway or Nike as a part-time job. Nike would be a perfect...
