Gay marriage should be illegal because it is a sin. It is against natural law, and God disapproves of the lifestyle choice.
The United States is a theocracy. Every citizen is a Christian; therefore, everyone believes in the Bible. In the United States, we do not advocate for civil liberties and/or religious freedom. The right to marry whom you love? That is an abomination!
As we all know, the eighth commandment, “Thou shalt not commit adultery,” clearly states that marriage to the opposite sex is a sin. In Paul’s Letters to the Corinthians, Paul states openly that it is wrongful for women to pray without a head covering and for men to have long hair, but we live in a contemporary society! We have to open ourselves to new ideas! It is not wrong to not wear a head covering because it is Paul that says it instead of Jesus. Even though Jesus never says homosexuality is a sin, because it is written in books such as Leviticus, which also supports polygamy, which is widely and legally practiced in modern American society, and Paul’s Letters to the Corinthians, we cannot support gay rights.
Secondly, as we all know, being gay is, for the most part, a choice. Lots of kids choose to be gay because they love being shunned by their peers at young ages. A lot of them even commit suicide because they just love that choice so much! However, sadly, there are the minority of gays who do not choose it. Instead, their parents have forced it upon them at young ages by breast feeding them until the approximate age of nine. Truly tragic.
Because God created marriage under government law instead of man and governments, only He can decide if gay marriage is lawful...but since He hasn’t straight up told us, we should just twist the Bible verses around a little bit to make it seem like that’s His main...
