After studying a GCSE and while studying this Diploma, a degree course within Media was an obvious choice to study at university. Initially studying GSCE Media as a fluke, my passion for the subject as grew throughout MidKent College and will continue you grow with yourselves and in due course into employment. Accomplishing and studying a production degree in the media sector will greatly increase the chances of gaining relevant entry career employment in something that I thoroughly enjoy.
By moving on to the next educational step in my life, my knowledge and understanding of the arts will dramatically increase as there's only so much you're able to learn from a level three Diploma course.
Once leaving university and accomplishing my degree I hope to either study futher for a master's degree or gain enough work placement experience to launch my production company. A theory and practice degree will enable doors to open in my future or even while I'm studying, the more doors that are opened the greater chance you have of succeeding.
Employment status for my demographic is appalling and because of this, the media as a whole is becoming harder to enter without a form of higher education qualifications and relevant experience.
My goal within the industry and my life is to leave a mark, whether it may be filming or directing in 50 years I would want someone in a similar position to mine to be able to recognise and learn from what I've done. I believe in a creative industry leaving your mark is a sign of achievement, whether it be a advertisement or a method of colour correcting, to be immediately recognised is a goal of mine.
