Introduction
Every religion believed in health as an important value and which it can promote healing. As we know healthcare vary based on an individual faith. Faith can be defined as a confidence or trust in a person, a religion or a doctrine, and it is view as hope or belief. Faith helps us to live our lives fuller and better. In this research paper I will be discussing the spiritual perspective of individuals from different religious faith which are the Buddhism, Christian, and Native American and also the healing practice of each faith.
Spiritual Perspective of Healing by Buddhism
The Buddhism faith is centered on the understanding that Buddha’s superior role is to teach on the workings of the mind, and contemplation so that the truthfulness, righteousness and the efficacy of the ideal in which one develops faith. It is rooted in rational intellectual comprehension, strengthened and sharpened by intellect. From the Buddhism point of view is that the mind is the creator of sickness and health, the cause of disease is internal and an individual must take care of their bodies in a proper way. According to Buddhism all beings exist in term of integrated factors and governed by natural law and the two characteristics or the dependent organization which guides an individual’s perception and living style are “Kamma” which is a collection product of health, and the “Noble Eightfold Path” which maintain the body. These principles which are a fundamental belief system that shape their perception will guides their lifestyle, and also the nature of all existences will guide and individual to take more responsibility for their health and lessen anxiety when they get sick. The critical components of healing in Buddhism consist of multiple medicines, techniques, and disciplines. They are found on the Eightfold Path and they are right speech, right action, right effort, right view, right intention, right mindfulness, right livelihood, and right concentration. The practice of training perception and meditation is the control gained in the Buddhism discipline. The training percepts are “not to kill”, not to take what is not given, not to indulge in sexual misconduct, not to lie and no to consume intoxicants”, all those are the keys to support the practice of meditation which allow a person to see clearly, and facilitates change via awareness. Blessed pills and blessed water are also used, they contains the relic of previous great mediators, saints and the bestow much power on the pills, which is an important factor for a healthy life.
