Why are people so addicted to pop and any other fast food restaurants? Well did one know that “more than one third of U.S adults (35.7%) are obese” (www.cdc.gov)? It is common knowledge that the U.S has one of the highest obesity rates in the world for the reason that unhealthy food is so cheap there. Also, in the world, there are countless amounts of people who would prefer unhealthy food over healthy food considering it simply taste better. In addition, chemicals are added into unhealthy food and many are unaware of the fact that the food is detrimental to the body. There needs to be a lot more adults eating healthy food to promote health for the younger generation. As fruits and vegetables are being digested, it slows the aging process for anyone. “Proper nutrition promotes optimal growth and development of children” (www.cdc.gov). This proves that if people continue to eat healthy, then they will grow to their maximum height with strong bones. “Originally grown without pesticides, un processed and include fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains and olive and vegetable oils” (www.livestrong.com). This shows that fruits, vegetables and other natural foods are not unprocessed and do not have any pesticides within them to affect the body in a bad way. A pesticide is a substance that is used for destroying insects or other organism that are harmful to animals or plants (Google). It is a chemical that is added to some of the unhealthy food that we eat. Finally promoting health can increase the metabolism of many people. There are many who think having a high metabolism is non-beneficial and beneficial.

As healthy food aids the body in many ways, it also improves daily brain function. Improved brain function is also supporting ones memory for the person to get through the day. “ Just as the body needs fuel, so does the brain. Diets based on fruits, vegetables and whole grains “healthy” fats and lean protein will provide lots of healthy benefits, but such a diet can also improve memory” (m.helpguide/articles/memory). The article stated that healthy food not only helps the body, but also increases the limit of one memory. When someone is having a bad day, it affects the way one thinks about himself/herself.
